This and That and things in between

Goodmorning blog world! :)
I'm pretty sure Kansas has the best sunrises around! Sometimes I just like to sit and soak up the new mornings sunrise, and new mercies God gives me so undeservingly! Its hard to imagine a God who knows us all by name, gives us each a brand new start each day, to give us a new beginning, so long as we try and trust Him! And the only reason we are still here is because He has a purpose for us! And its going to be wonderful and so worth it!

 Amanda had another shower this past Saturday. It twas filled with the best people and family around, good food, and SO many laughs! :)

Went out to eat with these gems! At Huhot of course!  I mean why not drive an hour every week to go out to eat! haha
 
My Wonderful, beautiful, amazing, Mom had her birthday on Monday!
So thankful I can call her my mom and best friend! She is the most amazing woman in my life and has taught me so much and I love her beyond words!

We finally had some snow yesterday morning, it came down perfectly and was beautiful! We got probably about 4-5 inches

 And this new lil calf was born that snowy night, it was just to cute with the calf curled up by his momma that I just had to take a picture!:)


So for a 'field trip' we went sledding. haha:) The boys made a homemade sled from a cow mat and its actually really fun! And there ain't no one stopping my from having fun with my sibs:)

It was a great day of sledding! I was just wondering why in the world my neck was so sore..thinking I had just slept wrong or something, ahh but no, I'm sure it was from being whorled around in circles and then flung in to the ditch where we came rolling and crumbling into a heap! ha. Oh the for the fun! :)



And I really could not help posting these adorable pics of Raezo. Last night before bed she come down and cracks my door open and asks me if she could tell me some stories. It was SOOO cute I could have cried! So she climbs up on the bed with me and begins her stories. She told of the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf, Goldilocks and the bears, Willy the whale, and a bunch of her other ramblings. So if you ever need a bedtime story, be sure to let her know, she has them down to a 'T' and really gets into them. Such as the huffing and puffing and knocking on the door.
This little girl (along with all of my other sibs:)) hold such a dear spot in my heart..I could not bear to live without them. Yes we have our moments, but God knew we all needing to be a family and I am so thankful!

Tribute to Richard

        I don't know if it was more of a honor to know such a man, work for him, or speak at his Rosary service, but people like Richard don't come around very often and I for one feel so blessed to be touched by his life.         We tend to say that Richard lost his battle with brain cancer, but what really happened is that he won. He gained the greatest victory on Monday, July 6th, 2020 and is now living the best life and I am so jealous. He was so ready to go and his last few weeks were such a testimony to me. Patiently  and eagerly  waiting to leave this earth and his physical pain. That's how I want to be.         I’ve been blessed to have many wonderful and incredible examples and mentors in my 25 years thus far, but out of all of them, Richard outweighs them all. He was a silent example in so many ways and I think I can say along with many other young people that even though Richard didn’t have any children of his own, he was like a father figure to so many of us. Back in Kansas | week 1

Yes, I'm home.  Yes, I miss Bukeka. Yes, I'm cold. Yes, I miss it. Yes, it went fast. Yes, I learned a lot. No, I won't be able to explain it all right now.  One of my friends on the other side thought it was funny how I numbered my weeks while I was in Uganda, but then he suggested I should do the same thing when I get back home too. Praising God for the most incredible past 7 months and also for the safe journey back home on Tuesday.  You know I am praising Jesus so much, my first week at home couldn't have gone better. I was nervous and anxious about coming home, and still am a little with the weeks ahead. But God has been so faithful to me. I'm 100% confidant its the prayers prayed on my behalf with this transition. Yes I'm lonely for my kids and all that Suubi was to me, but so far the transition home has been so smooth. Maybe it helps that I could jump right back into working, and that I got to come home to two of my sibling

Changes

Yup big changes! I'm moving...to Fairbury, Illinois, in less than a month. Who would have ever thought? Definitely was not in my plans to be doing, or ever doing! But God had a different plan in mind, and I know its a greater plan than I could have ever come up with. But if it would have been my choice, Illinois would have been definitely not on the top of my list. Don't get me wrong I love the people, but it's just a little to fast paced for me, has no dirt roads or even gravel for that matter, and there's lots n lots of people and towns and houses! :) A little different from what I'm used to here in Bern, Kansas! But I'm getting more excited. It's going to be a big adjustment tho. I'm gonna miss my dear, crazy, awesome, maybe a little odd at times, Family so much! And my wonderful friends, whom I will dearly miss! But don't worry I will be home a lot!....I think! :) And the big open spaces where you can't see anything or anyone for miles around
