Week 4 | Uganda

Well, its coming to a month of being on the other side. And it has really flown by!

Week 4 was a pretty easy going week, and I don't have to much of  an update. But the project this week at Suubi school has been gathering the children together by different classes and helping them write letters to their sponsors.

Its very cute the things they write and draw to their sponsors. They write from their heart and love to share everything. And they also LOVE receiving letters from their sponsors as well.

This letter writing process takes a few days to complete when you have 216 kids. We start out with a rough draft, edit, and then they rewrite once or twice more. Then we scan and email each letter out to the respective sponsors. This happens after each quarter.

One of the common things you will see upon coming to the village of Bukeka is children and woman kneel when they greet a man or when recognize someone with a higher authority than them. Its not a belittling act or a demand from someone. But a sign of respect and and "want to" attitude from the person kneeling.

So if you sponsor a child from Global Hands of Hope - Uganda, you'll be receiving a letter soon! :)

Mid-morning snack during break time at school consist of a cup of porridge.
The children are given 2 meals a day at Suubi.

My sweet girls

Enjoyed a beautiful wedding of a dear friend with this sweet sister.
This woman inspires me more than anyone I've ever met. So thankful for her friendship, guidance, and companionship while living this side.
