Week 15 | Uganda

Yes, sorry I'm like 3 days late. I really have no excuse for this one except that it was just kind of a crazy week being here and there and had another muzungu join me! Actually spent most the week in Kampala. A day in that city is just about enough for me. So much people, noise, fumes, and congestion. The city of Kampala is more than the population of Kansas to put it into a perspective for you. Actually here's something for you...the country of Uganda is slightly bigger than the state of Kansas and it has a total population over 44 million people, when Kansas has less that 4 million. So its a little crazy!

But on Monday & Tuesday the oldest class we have a Suubi, Primary 7, did their end of primary national exams. These were done at another school not to far away, so guess who was the driver? :) We managed to pack 12 of us in the 5 passenger car with the boys in the boot.
Now P7 is done with school and have just been helping out with random duties around the school.

And when P7 was doing their exams they got special lunches that they also shared with me. So this would be typical meal when there is a special occasion. What we all have here is rice, matooke, peanut sauce, cabbage, & eggplant. It's all quite delicious!

Just a little cutie hanging out at the office who will be a potential student up for sponsorship next term.

And what?! This girl joined me on the 5th! Its been oh so good to have her this side!
So thankful we can both be part of the work God is doing here in Bukeka. We've been apart for over 3 months but now that we're together is seems like it wasn't that much time at all!

While back in Kampala for the week we went with the Nalera's to a rugby game. It's certainly a sport of its own but exciting to watch, although Ronnie's team lost.

And now we're halfway through another week and there's been some crazy stuff happen that I can't wait to share with you.
